Girl carrying a TREK Christmas tree.The TREK program is an outdoor, environmental education program open to all Grade 10 students in Vancouver that combines outdoor activities and academic studies throughout the school year. Students in TREK learn a variety of outdoor skills, study local environmental issues and volunteer to help in community events. Students in the program gain self confidence and self reliance and a greater respect for community and environment.

TREK girls carrying a tree.TREK supports your community. Since 1985 students in the TREK Outdoor Education Program have contributed more than 64,000 volunteer hours. The tree lot is TREK’s main fundraiser and the community’s continued support is critical to the TREK program as net proceeds pay for field trips and equipment expenses. The Prince of Wales TREK tree lot is now in its 27th year of operation. This year, over 112 students and their parents and teachers will volunteer to run the tree lot over the season.
